Process & Timeline
1. pay a deposit
Not only does this provide us with some security, but it allows us to apply those funds to current inputs, such as feed and medical care, needed to raise the pigs to slaughter weight and keep our business running year-round.
Half hog: $275
Whole hog: $550
Note: This is applied towards the total cost of your share.
2. choose pickup or delivery
At checkout, you’ll be given the option to have your share delivered to your home, or to pick it up directly from the processor.
Pickup: You’ll be required to coordinate directly with the processor, but we are available to assist to make it a smooth process.
Delivery: We offer free home delivery within the tri-county area around Absarokee. See details below, or contact us if you are unsure if you are within our delivery radius.
3. email introduction
Keep an eye out for an email from us to confirm your share. We love to get to know our customers, so we will be in touch over the next few months to ensure you know what to expect.
4. processing update & invoice
Once the pigs are nearing slaughter weight, we will be in touch to let you know their processing date. Together, we can complete the cut sheet to determine how you want your share to be processed. We’ll then send you your final invoice.
If you selected delivery, the final invoice will include processing fees.
If you selected pickup, you will pay processing fees directly to the processor at time of pickup.
5. receive your order
You will be contacted to let you know your order is ready for pickup, or to schedule a delivery date.
If you selected pickup, you will coordinate with the processor, and pay the processing fees directly to them at pickup.
We’re happy to answer any questions along the way, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
